NYC Sanitation Announces Phased Implementation Schedule

The Department of Sanitation has set a staggered rollout for new service zones, beginning in Fall 2024 and continuing through early 2026.

Timeline per Zones

Queens Central: Starts September 3, 2024 → Fully implemented January 2, 2025

Bronx East: Starts October 1, 2025 → Fully implemented November 30, 2025

Bronx West: Starts October 1, 2025 → Fully implemented November 30, 2025

Queens Northeast: Starts January 1, 2026 → Fully implemented February 28, 2026

Brooklyn South: Starts January 1, 2026 → Fully implemented February 28, 2026
