Faced with large volumes of spent grain from Citi Field’s on-site brewery, RTS implemented a custom organics recycling program that diverted the byproduct from landfill and converted it into renewable energy through anaerobic digestion.

As part of the Zero Waste Challenge, RTS client, Whole Foods Market, committed to divert at least 50 percent of its waste from landfill and incineration within five months.
